Drywall Joints Made Easy

Drywall installation and drywall joints can be made easy. Even beginners can install drywall joints. Thus, it is really not as confusing as it may seem. In fact, when securing drywall finishing and taping of joints, you only need to make sure that the drywall is fixed firmly on both corners of the drywall. Make sure also that no fastener is above the surface of the drywall. If you see a fastener head in the surface, you can use a Philips screwdriver to lightly tap it down.

After this, you can cut the paper tape according to the joint area. It is advised that you first apply a thin mud on each corner side, to avoid bare spots. If you are using a pre-mixed compound, you would need to avoid excessive mixing because creates bubbles in the outside. For the first coating, you would need to use a taping knife. You can fill it evenly to cover the joint area.

The next step would be to put a joint tape along the center joint and hold it firmly. You need to stick it; then flatten the joint tape to the mud from the corner to the exterior side. Finally, you can apply the mud thinly on the joint tape.
