Emergency Lighting Options

Emergency lights should be present in every home. This is really important because you don’t know when the electricity will go out. If you don’t have emergency lights, you not have an idea on how you can react to that given situation. Generally, flashlights are the initial standard choice when it comes to giving off temporary light; but it will only last for as long as the batteries can stand. Thus, if the batteries are not new, it will prove to be unreliable and may even put you in a most inconvenient situation.

Aside from flashlights, there are also other emergency lighting options available in the market. It is advisable though, to rule out the use of candles because it is a fire hazard. Furthermore, candles are unsafe. Besides, other federal codes do not allow the use of candles.

Emergency lighting options would include the LED flashlights, the Solar Centurion and the automatic back up lights. Solar Centurion is a security halogen light that uses stored solar energy and can light up even without electricity.

LED flashlights are a source of light without using batteries and this can give you light while waiting for the power to actually return. Finally, automatic back up lights have a “sensor” that will automatically light up once it senses that there is no power. Generally, automatic back up lights can give you light only for about ninety minutes.

Lightworld offers a variety of emergency lights that has passed all State and Federal codes. Their emergency light products would include the Emergency Light Model L-2B, the Emergency Light L-2; and the Emergency Light L-1, which comes equipped with a 90-minute back up.
